Hydrophobic Portland Cement - IS 8043
Hydrophobic cement is obtained by grinding portland cement clinker with a film-forming substance such as oleic acid in order to reduce the rate of deterioration when the cement is stored under unfavourable conditions. The properties of hydrophobic cement are nearly the same as that of OPC. The only difference is that hydrophobic cement entrains a small number of air bubbles. The IS code for hydrophobic cement is IS 8043- 1991.
